For everyone

Accessibility

How we design this site to be easier to read and use, and how to tell us about barriers.

We design this site for brains that get overwhelmed easily, and for everyone else too.

  • Readable type: we use Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed for legibility, with generous line spacing.
  • The short version first: every article opens with a quick summary.
  • Reading tools: read aloud, focus mode, save for later and print on every article.
  • Keyboard and screen readers: skip links, labeled controls and visible focus outlines.
  • Reduced motion: animations turn off if your device asks for reduced motion.

If something on this site is hard to use, please let us know. We want to fix it.
